This May we visited Stokesay Castle, which is the finest and best-preserved fortified medieval manor house in England. We were lucky to go on a very sunny day and the views of the Shropshire hills were amazing against the deep blue sky. Stokesay Castle was constructed at the end of the 13th century by Laurence of Ludlow. There were lots of historical features to explore.
